Canine Massage
- Helping your dog get the balance back.
Canine
Massage has become a very popular complementary therapy, with a proven beneficial record. I
trained with ICAT (Institute of Complementary Animal Therapies) obtaining a Diploma with Distinction in 2010 and have been
working with animals ever since.
When I started training in 2008
Canine Massage/Canine Remedial Massage was relatively unheard of - but it was very clear for me to see that animals benefitted
from the soft tissue manipulation as much as humans. During the last 14 years I have built up a wealth of experience working
with dogs with a variety of different backgrounds and histories.
As with humans, massage can help healthy active dogs, ones who have suffered from trauma or surgery and
dogs who suffer from the general effects of ageing. It can help with a variety of issues, both physiological and psychological
and can aid a feeling of general well-being.
Canine massage helps
the performance of the canine athlete (for example, Agility, Obedience, Working Dogs, etc.) and helps reduce the risk of injury,
increases mobility and helps to maintain muscle tone. Regular massage helps maintain peak performance.
Canine Massage could help your dog with:
Muscle Tension / Muscle Spasm
Lameness
- intermittent or consistent
Back pain
Injury and strains
Post operative rehabilitation
Stress
General
effects of ageing
It can help with the secondary effects of:
Cruciate
Problems (pre and post surgery)
Hip/Elbow Dysplasia
Chronic Degenerative Radiculomyelopathy (CDRM)
Arthritis - Osteochondritis Dissecans (OCD)
Intervertebral Disc
Rupture
Regular maintenance
massage helps to keep your dog flexible and healthy.
